We are an organization that exists because you do. We are here to make a difference in the community, which may include breaking a few cycles. Our Board Members and other key team players have years of experience in working in the community with youth and their families. 

Being a part of the community, sharing experiences and seeing trends is what makes us so very passionate about what we do and not to mention the fact that we are great at it. Today's youth are literally our future and we are committed to guiding them to tapping into the best part of themselves. Fueled by the recognition of their strengths and being able to overcome their weaknesses, they will grow into exactly what our future needs.

We do not believe in shaming anyone for who they are, neither do we believe in self-shaming. We completely despise bullying as well. With that being said, it's not that we seek acceptance but we encourage acceptance of oneself. There will be no retaliation against anyone within or outside of the organization for any reason. We do not promote violence and it will never be tolerated at any point. Any acts of violence will be handled appropriately.

We have skilled professionals proficient in working with all age groups. They will be teaching coping and social skills. They will be providing mental health counseling, group therapy, and wrap around services. At the point of moving on from the organization, the individual will feel empowered and will be equipped with the skills to survive and thrive.

Exceptional Choices Inc's Founder and President Tanika Andrews has a vast amount of experience in working with the community. She was born and raised in the New Orleans area. As a true mental health advocate, she believes if we can change one's way of thinking the behavior will follow. She is a peer support specialist because she can not only understand, but can also relate to many social and economic factors that can often hinder a person from reaching their full potential. She is also an educator and is willing to teach other skills in addition to coping and social skills. She is an effective leader who is driven by the growth of others. As a very family oriented mother, she understands the true meaning of "it takes a village". Let us be that village!
